What happens to a Jew, who converted to Christianity, that somehow makes them antisemitic?
>Saint Melito of Sardis
>Pablo Christiani
>Nicholas Donin
>Alphonse Ratisbonne
>Edith Stein
>Otto Weininger
>Johannes Pfefferkorn

They see Jews for what they finally are, i.e. parasites who spread corruption wherever they go.

So an exception, not the rule just as >>16891433 had said.

You need to make a name for yourself in a new community. Members of that community happen to be virulently anti-Semitic and very receptive to canards by ex-Jews that explain why Jews don't embrace Christianity en masse (it's the Talmud!). How do you ingratiate yourself?

>Jews don't embrace Christianity en masse (it's the Talmud!)
There was some times where some Jews converted in mass after that.
>1. Disputation of Paris (1240): A debate between Jewish scholar Rabbi Yehiel of Paris and Christian scholars, orchestrated by French King Louis IX. This disputation was part of a broader effort to challenge Jewish beliefs and promote Christian conversion.
>2. Disputation of Barcelona (1263): This debate involved Rabbi Moses ben Nahman (Nahmanides) and Christian convert Pablo Christiani. It was held before King James I of Aragon and is one of the most famous medieval Jewish-Christian disputations.
>3. Disputation of Tortosa (1413-1414): A series of debates held in the town of Tortosa, Spain, organized by the Catholic Church with the aim of converting Jews to Christianity. The debates involved several Jewish scholars and were part of the larger effort of the Spanish Inquisition.
>4. Disputation of the Compulsory Conversions (1526): Held in Venice, this was part of efforts by the Catholic Church to pressure Jews into conversion, and it involved discussions between Jewish and Christian scholars.
Which makes sense that these now never happen now. You only every see Atheist vs Christian or Muslim vs Christian in modern eras.

Amusingly, Acts 21:20 says that there were thousands of Jews who joined the Jesus movement yet were zealous of the law (which Jesus supposedly abrogated). They didn't like the rumors that Paul had been teaching Jews not to circumcise.

they had to go fanatic or be accused of being a crypto-jew who only converted publicly.

The "law" predated Moses. This is the confusion,
God's Law is "holy, just, and good" the Mosaic Covenant included carnal ordinances in "meat, drink, and washings" which didn't apply to Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham (you get the picture), as a way to separate both the priesthood and nation of Israel.
Jesus Christ abrogates the carnal ordinances because he is now the only high priest having a continual priesthood. There is no need for cleanness laws when you no longer have to approach the physical tabernacle. There is no need for physical circumcision when there is no longer a physical nation of Israel (in God's eyes).
That said, spiritually, no Law ever gives us eternal life (heaven). But we follow the Law because it's good for goodness' sake. Faith in the Lord for our salvation was all that saved* us spiritually from Abel to today.
Not ALL the Law was abrogated. If you read the New Testament you'd see every time something is abrogated and more importantly, why*.

Converts are usually more zealous
