Revenge is bad. Justice is good
Revenge is bad because, under secular and scientific reasons, holding a grudge would fuck up your health. Physically, mentally, spiritually.
Not only are you more susceptible to health and mental issues, it also becomes much harder for you to develop any sort of connection with anyone
