However you may think of this book, has anybody here actually read it? What is the best English translation for Adolf Hitler's book? If one is studying the life of Hitler, Nazi Germany, and World War II, is it necessary to get through the entire book, or could it mostly be skipped in favour of other first hand sources and scholarship?
>What is the best English translation for Adolf Hitler's book? The only authoritative English translation ever made is the Stalag edition.
I read half of it. To be honest it kinda sucked. I expected some dark seductive work of evil genius, but it's really hyper specific to that moment in german history and has no utility/meaning outside of that. I was particularly suprised by the antisemitic stuff, he basically just said jewish people smell weird and i dont trust them. Ive seen way more compelling arguments for insane racism on twitter or on this board. Id youre interested in ww2 history then i guess it's indispensable but outside of that context it sucked hahah
>>17273664>is it necessary to get through the entire bookThis is the level of scholarship of your most vocal naziboos. They can't get through their own bible.

>>17273884It's not a bible, it's a Quran. Repetitive, full of recommendations for personal conduct laden with contemporary examples, heavily based around the author's life and hard to gleam a complete appreciation of the ideology from. Winston Churchill himself even compared the tone of Mein Kampf to the Quran>>17273797stupid nigger read into it there's eternal principles that can be applied by any kin-selective social organism that reproduces sexually. lrn2nazi.
