all the grobgerman fags always insist that germany had all these incredible military minds, always innovating.

okay germboos.
>exactly who
>exactly what did they invent/innovate

you are now realising all the greta military inventions in history are in fact British, or sometimes French, which means inspired by British. Britain, or England, has had consistently the strongest land army in history since around the 11th century.
>>
>>17274502
Maurits of Nassau
Wallenstein
Grosse Kurfurst & Friedrich der Grosse
Scharnhorst & Gneisenau
Ludendorff
Guderian, Model, Doenitz

Meanwhile the British have...
Uhhh...
>>
>>17274515
The british have the guy shrapnel was named after
>>
>>17274515
>bunch of random names
>doesn't say what a single one of them did
this is what always happens. naming random germans, pretending they invented stuff.

>meanwhile the british have
>uhhhhh
Pioneered just about every modern naval strategy there is. Mastered trench warfare. Radar. Sonar. Percussion caps. Torpedos. Longbows.

We have been fighting armies bigger than us and winning for a thousand years because we actually invent stuff instead of pretending to kek
>>
>>17274515
Moltke, Manstein, Clausewitz.
Don't forget all the best tank and plane aces were Germans.
The greatest guerrilla warfare warrior was Lettow Vorbeck
>>
>>17274524
>best tank and plane aces
So you get some fancy boys doing tricks then you lose the war anyway.
>best guerrilla warfare
this one I concede is not a british thing because we fight in the open, but this obviously goes to french resistance
>>
>>17274522
Scharnhorst was a military commander that reformed drills and practices iirc during the 18th and 19th century, serving Prussia
>>
>>17274536
>uhh...uhhh..he said soldiers should...le train!
true german brilliance
>>
>>17274522
Maurits pioneered combined arms warfare, modern logistics & drill
Wallenstein did economics of warfare
Friedrich & his father drills, training and total war
Scharnhorst & Gneisenau did the reserve system and Auftragstaktik
Moltke for the timetables
Ludendorff for Kesselschlacht
Guderian for Modern combined arms, communication, exploitation
Model for defense in depth
Doenitz for commerce raiding
and of course Clausewitz for theory of war
Trench warfare
Rohr for stormtroopers

>mastered trench warfare
They could only block the stalemate through american bodies and were not better at trench warfare than anyone else, noticeable worse than germans desu. No storm troopers, no deep shelters, retarded assault tactics

>radar
literally based on research by Herz & Huelsmeyer, developed independently by Germany, Japan & the soviet union

>sonar
Canadian, French, Russian & German

>torpedos
Literally invented by a Dutchman, Cornelis Drebbel

>percussion gap
French discovered it concurrently

>longbows
Irrelevant mostly used in your backwater

>be british
>get conquered by saxons
>get conquered by danes
>get conquered by normans
>get conquered by hollanders
>>
>>17274573
>UHH ACTUALLY THEY ALL INVENTED TRAINING AND UH CLOCKS
>AND
>UHHH
>YOU'RE A BACKWATER, OKAY?

Britain hasn't been successfully invaded in the last one thousand years. Everything you mentioned there was likewise used by English armies, likely under a different name.

a LARP
>>
>>17274581
1066 was less than a thousand years ago?
1688 was less than a thousand years ago?
British education is truly shining through isn't it?
I also like how you refuted literally zero (0) of my points, yet I refuted all your bullshit.
And it was all later adopted by British armies indeed, because they tend to bow and adapt when faced by German superiority.

Are you only now realizing that shitposts are shitposts? And I know that you OP is a shitpost as well.
>>17274520
Shells filled with dedicated fragmentation pieces have been in existence since the 16th century. Henry Shrapnel just invented a design that worked slightly better.
>>
>>17274530
>this obviously goes to french resistance
You can't be serious lol, the French resistance was just a minor inconvenience.
>>
>>17274596
>you said 1000 years instead of 958 years you horrible amoeba cunt
>>
>>17274661
Why do you post a false statement and then cry when called out on it?
>>
>>17274693
I'm not him
>>
>>17274596
>1066 was a thousand years ago
obviously I was rounding up, retarded mick
>1688
>williamite war
literally not an invasion, he was invited

Germans are not superior to Britain in wars because in every war Britain fought Germany in Britain won. retard
>>17274631
>half of france literally called free france
>le resistance was...le pointless
>>17274661
exactly

The German genius is not a meme, nor is the idea behind it originated in 4chan. It is an acknowledge fact

>1668
>dutch come over with an army numbering 40 000 and the largest fleet ever up until that point
>depose the king, install dutch stadholder as a king
>this is not an invasion to the british mind
So what exactly is an invasion?
>>
>>17274748
Were they invited?
>>
>>17274748
>government deposes an unjust king
>asks a relative to come help get rid of him to restore british justice and institutions
>he does so
woah I guess people coming on holiday here to spend money is an invasion to you fucking paddy retard
>>

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anglo-Russian_invasion_of_Holland
Anglos invade Holland when asked to do so by the Dutch stadholder.
Dutch do not "invade" England when they do the exact same thing some 100 years earlier
Curious isn't it? Only the Dutch were actually succcesfull lmao
>>
lol I just read wikipedia of the dutch invading the anglos. they killed less than fucking 50 anglos in the whole thing. what the fuck was everyone doing if they had numbers of nearly 50-60k people total invovled? raping catholic choir boys?
>>
>>17274774
Anglos are so weak they didn't even dare to resist.

They also invited the anglo-saxon invaders, the vikings & the normans, it is in their nature to grovel and beg for servitude
>>
>>17274774
it actually sounds based. the king was captured by local fishermen. fuck catholics
>>
if someone actually gave an indepth rundown of an individual epic german military mind and exactly what he did AND why it mattered, maybe

but it's all just
>name
>some random shit everyone else has anyway
>>
>>17274722
"Free France" was a handful of irrelevant shithole colonies, everything else was only retaken thanks to the British and the Americans.
>>
>>17274774
Many people were neutral or receptive of the idea of William. That combined with the limp response from James made it relatively bloodless. It makes me laugh imagining him turning up as a foreign royal at some shitheap english coastal town and nobody being sure what to make of him. If the average person is a mong in the information age now, the peasants must've been turbo mongs.

Like all infantry tactics, division of labor in a tank, chemical weapons, rocket artillery, terror bombing.

There's more, but what people actually do is underestimate how much innovation countries like Britain and USA also made during the same era or slightly after it.

Take submarines for example, germans had amazing snorkels and torpedo tech, but their radar was so so and they completely deglected oceanography. No point in a ship that can go -600 feet if you don't know that heat pockets can hide you.
