>Hobbies? Yeah, I had those as a kid. But now I'm grown up, a wageslave and old. All I do is garden and watch paint dry. This is the adult lifeHas every generation in human history been like this ?
>>17276499>Has every generation in human history been like this ?Somewhat yes.the difference is, most of the time you didn't have much hope. You knew you've got to survive and live according to your faith. most of the time, you don't hoped to have a better live. you hoped to be a good christian to go to paradise. Although, that doesn't mean there was no economic incentive to improve your own life, People joined cities, Germans for example, migrated to the east and colonized lands through hard labour, forest were cut down for more land to grew crops...
>>17276499Gardening is a hobby though?
>>17276499My hobbies are: - gardening - playing music (usually in my garden) - going on dates with my girlfriend (who loves my knowledge of horticulture - loving my girlfriend - cooking foor for my girlfriend with things i grew in the gardenIt's a good life, a small one, but it's mine and i wouldn't trade it for anything else.
>>17276499In the past peoples' hobbies were side jobs to produce things that keep them alive.
