There was legitimately a mass satanic movement in the 80s satanism exploded in popularity and black masses were held along with other rituals. I know several individuals who lived through the 80s and participated or observed such rituals. Modern day satanists try to downplay it as satanic panic but satanism truly was exploding in the 80s
