People often use it as an insult, but nobody has ever given me a single logical reason why thinking of yourself as the main character of your life is bad. I mean when I wake up in the morning my thoughts are the ones I hear as a monologue; so if I'm not the main character of my own life then who is? Why are they and not me?(ps this is a philosophical question, and therefore humanities based)

There's a difference between your life obviously being your personal story and "main character syndrome" where you believe the entire planet revolves around you.

This is the retaliation insult of the npc. Literally. Think about it. As if thinking of yourself as the primary person of importance is a bad thing. Instead of thinking of yourself as a herd animal, a sheep, an interchangable borg member of the group. It's an insult on the level of that meme "dis nigga readin a book" crying laughing emoji pic.
