It's surprising that the cricket build works despite every other nocturnal animal specing in to max stealth. Not quite sure how they pull it off.

That cricket/grasshopper should actually be a Beetle.
Something like 40% of all terrestrial arthropods, and 25% of all terrestrial animal species, are beetles.
