I recently had a discussion with a friend of mine, the topic of which was related to the paranormal.
She mentionned a case she had where, whilst being in an intermediate state between sleep and awakeness, she witnessed a figure standing in front of her which appeared to have the body of a man and the head of a hybrid swordfish/dolphin of sorts.
Being acquanited with Jung, I suggested the idea that such images can be traced to a collective unconscious composed of archetypes and that she might find an answer within mythology.
I did my own research on the matter, yet from what I found only figures where the upper half is human and the lower is that of a fish gave back results, figures such as Merman,Apkallu,... which is different to the case presented above, hence why I am sollicting help from Anons here to furthermore elaborate on what such visions might imply for my friend.
pic rel is the only example I could find that is remotely similar to my friend's case

reverse-searching the image leads me to believe this is a depiction of some sort of dancing ritual within Guinea-Bisseau, the depicted animal is a shark thoughbeit, might portray a different meaning than that of a swordfish or a dolphin.
