I'm American, I don't know who any of these people are. Goya does make good beans tho

Is this a false flag? Goya is a 100x greater painter than all of the French ones put together.

That's the point.

>Goya is 100x greater than Delacroix and Louis-David
Look I like Goya as much as anyone but let's be a little more realistic.

Goya is better.

His loose strokes and his special adherence to colour in such a way that the figure was ahead of the Impressionists by decades, something that puts him on a par with William Turner as a precursor of colour. As a subject, although he was a late Baroque painter, he moved from religious, courtly and mythological themes based on Spanish rural folklore, the grotesque and the dreamlike. Which puts him at the head of all the Romantics. As a social critic of the excesses of the clergy, French barbarism and the treachery of the Francophile liberals, he makes him a precursor of realism along with the Flemish painters of the Baroque.
And in his final phase, as an almost blind painter, he was the precursor of symbolic and abstract art of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

He is the stylistically multifaceted author par excellence. And quite all the XIX century artitic evolution can be summarized in his work.

to Spanish rural folklore, the grotesque and the dreamlike themes of romanticism***

This says more about your paper-thin dark age knowledge of art than it does about Spaniards.
