Why didn't Algonquian speakers ever achieve anything? It seems like all of the other people of the east coast (Iroquoians, Siouans, Muskogeans, Caddoans, Yuchee) all achieved something or other (mound building, complex societies, etc), but the Algonquins achieved very little. What are the historical reasons for this?
