how much truth are there to the narratives about US intervention and general meddling internationally? I already know the US had no direct involvement in the Chile coup and Allende was destroying the economy and that people only cry about Afghanistan because they wanted the USSR to freely massacre afghan peasants but how much truth/falsehood are there to all the other narratives?

The US, and some other powers have always meddled in other countries affairs for their own gain (eg. US backing in El Salvador and Nicaragua, the UK and France in the Congo/Rwanda) but at the end of the day this has helped more than harmed the development of nations as a whole. (eg. South Korea and Taiwan) The worst part was the Vietnam war, and the Korean war. The Vietnam war was a proxy war where the US decided that the US wants to be a rich nation on top of the world and decided to try to overthrow communism and not to let anyone who does not bow to the US dollar/ideology win because it is not allowed (in the context of the 21st century) and it killed millions.

>US had no direct involvement in the Chile coup
What does that mean? That the US didn't directly bomb with with American pilots? Then yeah, not direct involvement there
