In AD 367, King Ermanaric, the ruler of all the nations of Germania and Scythia, executed a woman as punishment for her husband's treason. The method of execution was by having her tied to horses and making them run in different directions so she was pulled apart.

what is the purpose of this thread OP? you are just stating a historical fact with no other jumping off points, how are we supposed to get any discussion out if this? I guess we could bicker about the ethics and history of capital punishment or public executions. Not really giving us a lot to work with here conversation-wise...
