can we ever comprehend the mysterious orient as westerners? please don't post Edward Said's retarded stuff

more than one mark of Chinese tea has historically been marketed (by way of legend) as being picked and processed by beautiful virgins. Goes up to modern day.

Tea girl breast water, e-girl bath water. Sex sells in the weirdest ways.

The only western man I know of who truly comprehended the orient was Marco Polo

The tea isn't picked by an attractive young girl, it's picked by an old hag. Hence the name "scary fragrance".

Oh please don't harden my resolve. But really. I don't see any telling where it's a hag. Remember that they're trying to sell the tea, not ward customers off, and they're using titillating stories to do it. Thus, lusty maidens. "Scary" isn't a perfect translation anyway, the gist of it is that the smell is startling, surprising, not "eek ew"

that said, the popular spicy tofu Ma Po is named for an old lady with smallpox scars, but she was actually real, even if she didn't necessarily invent the dish.

Yes. You just need to gather the experiences and ideology.
