Is this God’s plan? Is the idea that in his first coming, Jesus brings down God’s instructions for how to be a good person, and at the end of time/second coming, the idea is to see who followed the instructions and to execute retribution upon those that didn’t? If so, that makes perfect sense to me.

Sounds like an awful lot of unnecesarry setup for an all-powerful being though
>>
God's plans are inscrutible. The only thing we know for sure is that he is a paracausal entity who loves us and wants the best for us.

I don't like this image, it has weird closeted pedo energy
>>
>>17431341
He set it up that way, there's no escape. Accept or perish

>The only thing we know for sure is that he is a paracausal entity who loves us and wants the best for us.
*The only thing we claim to know, despite these beliefs being debunked by common sense.
>>
>>17431354
He's all-powerful so if he really wanted me to perish he would've done it already. All these tests just seem like a waste of time and/or energy
>>
>>17431358
Is incessantly dwelling upon this matter doing you any good? No. Then why are you still so obstinate? Accept your human frailty and get rid of your inquisitive spirit robbing you of absolute joy and the fruits of the Spirit.
>>
>>17431366
I think believing that my entire existence is made trivial by some God we don't fully know the motivations of and can just snap away our existence would be far more depressing honestly
>>
>>17431341
Its to preserve our freedom and self-determination as homo sapiens
>>
>>17431373
Okay but then why punish us then? Why give us free will and then punish us for taking advantage of our free will?
>>
>>17431380
Unrepentant evil deserves prima facie to be punished. The great injustice of the world is that unrepentant evil wins.
>>
>>17431337
why doesn't his plan account for the various factors that would prevent people from believing in the first place?
>>
>>17431402
Such as? Ignorance? Bible says we are not culpable for things we are ignorant of, until we become aware of them.
>>
>>17431427
So why the fuck would you tell me about christ then retard?
>>
>>17431448
Eternal life isn’t good news?
>>
>>17431469
the fact that you make such an obtuse reply shows in itself that you aren't motivated by purely good and compassionate intentions.
>>
>>17431477
It helps to make sense of life to have a sense of what God’s up to in Christ.
>>
>>17431481
peoples have had plenty of ways to "make sense of life" before christ, and I fail to see how condemning all those people to hell somehow outweighs that in a cost/benefit analysis
>>
>>17431491
> condemning all those people to hell
14 (Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law. 15 They show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts sometimes accusing them and at other times even defending them.)

>I'm praying for you without your consent
That's praype!
>>
>>17431337
>invent a species of monkey people and throw them into magic lava if they don't worship a dead jew of dubious historicity.
Sounds pretty retarded to me. You'd think a magic jew that can create universes out of nothing would have something better to do.
>>
>>17431654
Something better than creating the cosmos with humans in it?
>>
Then if salvation is not obtainable in a single lifetime, if it is possible to save everyone.

What does that mean

After the fall, God was divided because the spirit was trapped in the flesh, imprisoned upon the earth outside of grace and condemned. But instead of allowing his people to be destroyed, God sent his son and sacrificed his perfection so that all which is of God would be rejoined into one body, resurrected upon the earth in the name of the Son. And so it was that the people of God became the body of God upon the earth, redeemed as such by doing the will of the Father in the name of the Son.

Then his people forsook their mantle and identity, forgetting who they are and why the son was sent for them.

Now the world again seeks the destruction of those Jesus willingly went to the cross to save, and so when they can no longer deny their approaching doom they will once more grasp the sword which is their God given identity to preserve themselves from death by resurrecting the body of Christ for their kingdom the second time.

It’s a self realization process because the alternative is literally death. Choose no other Gods before me, because there are no other Gods.
We’re just children, we are lost sheep in the darkness, even at this stage of awakening. But you’ve read the story and not sure you’re cut out for it because you’re worried you’ll have to go through all that stuff. You will.
