What was the point of the First World War?
>>17431888It was basically all about the colonies. Germans were insane they missed out on some and wanted to snatch what the French and Brits had. Classic imperialist drama.
As explained in the protocols, it was to destroy the monarchies of Europe and further the goals of the elders of Zion leading to the future one world government under the Jewish messiah
Bogstandard imperialism and a desire for landgrabs. Also intricate and complicated alliance webs dragged a lot of otherwise unrelated countries to war. So really, nothing.
>>17431896>>17431928meds>>17431958that's the correct tl;dr
>>17431970You clearly haven't read the protocols. They predicted world war one and two correctly, and three also, spoke about Zionism before it ever started. But nice try trying to brush it off as medsworthy.
why are yt pipo like this?
>>17431888My understanding is that it was a combination of all sides to some extent wanting war. Germany wanting to break the entente encirclement, entente wanting to weaken a Germany that seem posies to become a hegemon, France wanting back territorial losses.
>>17432015Nope. Read the protocols.
>>17431888Boys just wanna have fun.
>>17432029>>>/pol/
While there are multiple perspectives on this, in my understanding it really was due to power although not a collective reason. Germany wanted to fight immediately as their position in Europe was compromising as France and Russia were slowly building their strength. Russia wanted to show off their strength after Japan humiliated them hence they stood with Serbia against Austria Hungary, France wanted to weaken German power and retake their lands, Britain despite joining because of Belgium officially, really joined in because well to topple Germany and maintain the balance of power in Europe. Even if the Archduke wasn't shot, war would've still been inevitable and it would be more harder for Germany to fight if they stayed peaceful long enough for France and Russia to go on par with Germany's military
>>17431888Basically, Germany had decided the time was right for a "general war" as Germany was more prepared than France and Russia. And basically, the countries invaded by Germany defended themselves and a stalemate ensued.
German paranoia over an ascendant Russia and Anglo-French paranoia over an ascendant Germany
>>17432248Russia and France both mobilized on Germany before Germans mobilized or delcared war on them.>it doesn't count because we didn't say it was a war yet. We totally weren't gonna do nuffins
>>17431888The objective of war is to kill the enemy. All else is incidental.
>>17431888All states (national, multinational, whatever) are only stable as long as the rulers maintain their strong grip over their subjects BUT it becomes difficult for them in times of run-away technological changes; so they must reorganize themselves. It's bloody because states specialize in violence.
>>17431888Fuck jannies.
I don't think WW1 is inherently unjustifiable, but the apparent war goals of all the parties are absurdly small to the point that they can in no way compensate for the human losses. People say Brest-Litovsk is harsh, from Russia's perspective sure, but Germany gains jack shit. If they just wanted to do happy trading in local markets and whatever they could do that anyway without war, French and British gains at the end are completely pathetic. The goals in WW2 are far more proportional and reasonable for the sacrifices made.
>>17432284France mobilized on the same day as GermanyRussia mobilized before, but against Austria Then Germany decided to involve itself out of the blue
Germany wanted to be master of Europe.France wanted revenge against Germany.Britan didn't want anybody to have mastery over Europe.Austria Hungary wanted a longer lease on life.Serbia wanted Slavic territories under Austria Hungary. Not sure about Russia.
>>17432029hey man, you have to go back
>>17432422>decided to involve itself out of the blueGermany was a sworn ally of Austria. If you find Britain's involvement in the war justified, this is even more so.
>>17432446Germany could simply have, you know, not ordered Austria to attack Serbia to start a general war...
>>17432457Meds
>>17432457Russia could simply have, you know, not invaded Austria to defend terrorists...
>>17431888Slavery
>>17432469Russia didn't invade anything until Germany declared war on them
>>17431971>spoke about Zionism before it ever startedThe first Zionist congress was in 1897 and the Protocols were first published in 1903
>>17432479Why was Russia mobilising its army?
>>17432485In case Germany decided to start a egeneral war
>>17432499So we could have trusted Russia would have backed off and demobilised again if Germany had not mobilised?
>>17431896>the war begins when Austra invades Serbia>so it was Germany's faultlmao.
>>17432457>not ordered Austria to attack SerbiaProof?
>>17432457You literally made that up.
