This book genuinely, unironically, without joking at all, reads like a manga. It's unlike any other religious text. The descriptions of the one true lord sound like goku talking about going super saiyan plus ultra.

Manga was inspired by eastern folklore. Goku was literally based on Monkey King from that book.

Buddhism ends up being their Stoicism or Christianity, in that it's the driving force of the state and their modern morality.
