>is not me that sends you to hell it is you that by refusing to hear my message and loving sin, loves hell by your own will
I hate this look of Christianity because it makes God look like a manipulator and destroys his mercy.

Is our will and ignorance greater than his mercy and understanding? What a weak god then.
I thought the whole deal about sin is that it's destructive by nature and we humans CAN'T see it on our own, and even if we follow Christ we will still sin because we can't help it. We aren't God so we aren't perfect and we need his guidance.

I hate Christmas that says if you keep sinning, it's because you didn't believe in Christ in the first place. (whatever the fuck sin is because each christian has its own headcanon about God's law)

Yes, we humans are stupid and we don't see a lot of things, we aren't deciding shit, we are ignorant. How does me believing Jesus paid the debt (even my future sins) stop me from sinning, when sin comes from our own limits in this life?

People who go to hell send themselves there, really

My favourite part is the following:
>you reject god because you love sin too much!
>do I watch porn? uh, that's... STOP ASKING QUESTIONS!

>this look of Christianity
It's called logic. You don't like it because atheists can't reason.

How? Also are we gonna talk how hell is translated the same for Gehenna and hades and how most of the view of hell we have comes from Dante's inferno and how annihilation theory makes more sense than eternal suffering? Death is the opposite of life, it's non existence.

Stop fucking conflating noahidism with christianity and maybe you will find salvation, assuming you are one of his people.
>>
>>17437155
Ok, don't explain dick. That's what a good christian does, not try to guide others towards salvation

why is this board so anti-christian?

I understand that sentiment, I was explained at an early age where if you just confess your sins at the end, you'll go to heaven, and from the person who I heard it from, would lie and do petty things, which gave me the impression of
>So you can be a piece of shit your entire life, but you'll still go to heaven as long as you confess your sins to God, and only God?
>doubt.exe

I believe in the word of God and all that, but expecting everything will be fine and dandy at the moment of truth just seems off putting to me, I think just being honest to your fellow man before you meet the Big Man is much more satisfying to the soul and you will eventually reach Heaven on Earth before reaching "True Heaven" (A Remorseless Death)

Everyone will be a sinner, even if you raise the perfect child, they will eventually sin, it's a matter of teaching them to absolve themselves from sin, instead of telling them to depend on others or otherworldly entities to free them of their regret and guilt, thats a good way to build a Healthy Spirit in em, if that makes sense

Thanks for the thought process, will make the day more fun with my usual bullshit

You don't understand free will. You cannot be healed from your wounds if you refuse to accept assistance.

>absolve themselves from sin
You cannot do this. Only God can. Christ taught the Apostles to do this and gave them the power. This is continued via Apostolic succession to us.

By choice, anon.

Hell is physical and spiritual distancing from God. He created us to be in communion with him, so willingly choosing to end that communion is detrimental to our souls.

Christianity's "guilty until proven innocent" doctrine is the most sadistic form of psychological terrorism ever inflicted on the human mind. You're born condemned, stained with "original sin" before you even take your first breath, and then told the only way out is through complete submission to an invisible cosmic dictator. But here's the sick joke - you can never actually prove your innocence in this rigged system. No matter how many prayers you say, how many commandments you follow, or how much you debase yourself, you're still a worthless sinner deserving of eternal torture. It's a perfect system of control that keeps you permanently enslaved to a guilt you never earned.

The only real escape is realizing that this whole corrupt system is bullshit and we don't need external validation from some celestial judge. We are the only ones who can set ourselves free by rejecting the very premise that we were ever guilty to begin with. No god, church, or religion has the right to declare us broken from birth. The power to judge our own worth and define our own meaning has always been within us - we just need to deprogram ourselves from this inherited guilt complex that serves no purpose except to keep humanity psychologically chained. True liberation comes from telling this whole rigged cosmic courtroom to go fuck itself.

Not Christian, but the historical Christian view is that sin is a lack of being. Confession and sacrements are either infusions of grace like in Catholicism or some working with God like in Eastern Orthodox. Grace enables the absolution of sin and enables one to reflect the image of God in man.

Basically grace enables the movement from lack of being to being. Ethics arises from that movement but is not only what is good. Metaphysically, the image of man is what is good in humans and is their metaphysical rational nature.

>I don't like something
>Therefore it doesn't exist
>>
>>17437100
The only honest discussion you're able to have is
>we have no evidence for the supernatural, therefore we cannot assume the supernatural exists
>god is omnipotent, an inherently supernatural quality
>therefore it's horseshit
