I think I will honor Ba'al, the original God king from the near east, instead.
Then feel free to sacrifice your baby. If not, shut the fuck up.
>>17437159Jephthah sacrificed his daughter to YHWH, or "moloch'd" her to him
>>17437160Interesting. Thanks. Doesn't refute the point I made though.
>>17437160Waah my enemies do it too aaah waaah
>>17437188Pretty much all gods have had people sacrificed to them. Jesus is literally a human sacrifice too
>>17437197Yeah.. so? I don't believe in any of these gods. I mean they exist but it's all just evil spirits alien to the true god.
>>17437169>>17437159Never happened, only old testament jews did it
>>17437203If you say so..
>>17437202>I mean they exist but it's all just evil spiritsThe "evil spirits" are part of the true God just like you and I are, in a way we're figments of God's imagination, or this is a story he is telling. Monism is the truth
>>17437210You can believe that. But I prefer dualism.
>>17437139Ball worshipers are boot lickers.
>>17437139just become a shi'ite. "Ali" is literally Ba'al mixed with some Mithraic elements. I mean Ba'al himself was called Aly during his heyday
>>17438487wouldn't I have to be eaten for it?
>>17437139all paganism is just cope, otherwise you are now forced to acknowledge the supremacy of Mexico's gods.
Judges isn't a book that shies away from explicit descriptions of violence (e.g., Ehud's killing of Eglon in chapter 3), yet of the sacrifice of Jephthah's daughter all that is said is, "at the end of two months, she returned [from mourning her virginity] to her father, who did with her according to his vow that he had made. She had never known a man". One possible interpretation of this is that what Jephthah sacrificed was not the life of his daughter but only his lineage through her, and with it his own inheritance in the land, i.e., he sacrificed her to God in the same way that Hannah sacrificed Samuel.

>>17438487>>17438509>So Baal's prophets shouted louder. They cut themselves with swords and knives, as their customs taught them to do. Soon, there was blood all over them.Shiabros are we pagans!? I don't feel so good...
>>17438535No, Jesus Christ is the Lord of lords. Papists have no power.
