Genuine question for theists, if God created this world and our species, why wouldn't he have created an infinite number which we may never know about to maximize his glory? Us not knowing about them doesn't mean they don't exist and in fact it is essential that there be an unknowable infinity that we can never comprehend within God. It seems a bit silly to say that human beings on earth would be his ONLY creation and categorically deny the existence of any other when we don't understand God's infinity at all
>>18219275>if God created this world and our species, why wouldn't he have created an infinite number which we may never know about to maximize his glory?1. Maybe he doesn't care about glory.2. I don't know about you, but making life rare and exceptional, rather than common and unimpressive, seems more glorious to me and testifies better to a Creator. The rarity and uniqueness of life on this planet is one of the most common arguments for the existence of God, it's actually atheists who argue that a universe full of life would show that God is not necessary to explain the origin of life and that our existence is nothing special. As time goes on and life seems more and more rare, this argument is strengthened.
>>18219275>why wouldn't he have created an infinite numberActual infinities are logically impossible. They lead to logical contradictions and so they cannot exist, take a look at https://www.youtube.com/shorts/W4_OXMCswKUInstead, you only need to make Earth and the life here: as time goes on, if we stick to the Kingdom and continue our advancement, we can be the ones who make an endless number of new species to populate the universe. A potential infinity rather than an actual infinity: always increasing, without limit.
>>18220106>my god cannot freely will himself to create two intelligent species on two different planets rather than just one intelligent species on one planetThis means that if we ever encounter ayy lmaos, your religion will have been debunked btw.
>>18219275But you see, not every religion considers humans to be apex creatures. In my religion, if we can use the word religion, we turn to Darkness, and rise as infernal beings, hellish demons, so it would be weird for us to then go and consider humans as the end all be all, we don't. You know one set of religions, there's more.
>>18220106>Actual infinities are logically impossible. There are a lot of assumptions in current science that are "logically impossible", yet entire fields of science hinges on accepting it axiomatically. An asymmetrical starting and end point for the Universe's life is completely arbitrary for example, but its still accepted as science.
>>18220785>This means that if we ever encounter ayy lmaosAliens are the atheist's fairies.
>>18219275Aliens are real. I believe it. They harvest men and women for sexual experiments.
>>18220891Regardless, finitismcuck's theology has been debunked.>>18220844
>>18220891>fairiesIt's funny how you think it's ridiculous that people believe in fairies while you believe in angels.
>>18220898So you admit that an alien is just as likely to exist as a fairy, then.
>>18220935Why do Christians blatantly lie like this? Do they not realize lying is considered a sin within their religion?
>>18220935I didn't say that. You were ridiculing the existance of fairies. I was pointing out the hypocrisy of thinking it is ridiculous to think that fairies exist while you yourself believe in angels.
>>18220935There is nothing in the Bible that says life can’t exist on other planets. Genesis sort of does imply sentient life on earth is special in some regard but there is no actual thing saying extraterrestrials don’t exist.
>>18219275He is infinite. Maxxing glory is cringe... It is already infinite. Creating more adds literally nothing.
>>18220948>>18220952>>18220964Holy seethe.
>>18220974>person A says that fairies exist>you say that fairies don't exist, believing in fairies is ridiculous but angels exist because the bible says so and atheists are stupid and irrational for not believing in the bible and therefore also angels>I say you both are ridiculous>you seethe
>>18220982nta but (you) are seething hard after getting btfoaliens are the atheist's fairies has not been debunked yet
>>18221000Atheism doesn't require aliens and you don't have to be an atheist to believe in aliens. By your logic angels are the fairies of abrahamism. Do you agree with the last part?
>>18221005I don't know what Abrahamism is as Abraham never proclaimed to be God
>>18221285Neither did Buddha, Mohammed or Confucius.
>>18220964The Bible says stars are holes in the sky which is made of water. Nowhere for ayy lmaos to live
>>18221285Abrahamism = judaism, christianity, islamthe weird religions who believe in monotheism, killing people who don't believe in their nonsense, angels, Adam, Eve, Noah and his global flood, Abraham the mythicla ancestor of jews and arabs and the magician Moses who was very likely some rogue egyptian or canaanite warlord and of course the jew Solomon who controlled dmeons
>>18221362*demons
>>18221326ok?What do they have to do with me?
>>18221362I believe in ChristAbraham was a prophet and a patriarch you're not making much sense
>>18221388Then I will reduce it to christianity. Do you agree that angels are the fairies of christianity?
>>18221397Angels are angels fairies or any other 'spirits' not from God are daemons
>>18221522If they are not from God then who created them?>>18221522
>>18221528God, obviously
>>18221388So does islam but they think christ was a prophet like abraham.
>>18221571that's why I respect them more than talmudic jews who say and write the worst blasphemies regarding Christ and Mary
>>18220785A prediction of my model is indeed that no, there are no aliens. Which certainly fits the evidence so far.>>18220884>There are a lot of assumptions in current science that are "logically impossible"I think you may be misunderstanding what logical impossibility means. It doesn't just mean strange or unexpected, it means something is a hard logical contradiction. Examples would be an equation where 1+1=-73 or a square that doesn't have four corners. >An asymmetrical starting and end point for the Universe's life is completely arbitrary for example, but its still accepted as science.Something being arbitrary is very different from it being logically impossible. Something that's arbitrary just means "it's up to you". Like whether a physical model uses miles or kilometers is completely arbitrary, the results will be the same either way. Something being logically impossible means that it is self-contradictory, which is very different.
