making a new oc as one of my arthropoids, a were-cockroach butlerteeth and face shape pending still. i got a general idea of his personality and general deal, though.>were-cockroach?i have 2 different types of arthropoids - arthropoids who have an arthropod centaur type body as a permanent feature (e.g. Nea and Archie), and arthropoids who have that centaur-ish form as something to transform into under certaint circumstances but can otherwise have a more humanoid body (e.g. Florence). it's purely for fun reasons rather than any particular lore

It *can* be done on purpose if you learn how as Florence has to make weaving & building stuff, and keeping people away from you much more convenient

had an idea last night. the magic conlang continuestldr its a language designed to be a pronunciation guide, with each 'letter' being a visual representation of the shape of the mouth/throat/etc. iirc i posted the initial draft with a few consonants before, but now i've expanded with a couple vowels. i'm liking how it's looking put together so far!

>>770146thanks! i made some adjustments to it already, one major one being swapping the hard and soft consonants for the same posture (like b/p, k/g, d/t, etc) - i felt it would be more fitting for the soft consonants that still allow you to continue speaking to carry on the line and the hard consonants interrupting it via a space. i've also since figured out sh/ch/j (and readjusted 's') and added a new throat region (vertical line after tongue)it'll likely keep changing as i try to write more and more things with it. once i have enough of those i can start coming up with more words and grammar

painted last nighti feel way more confident about my monochrome works, my renders in color always seem a little off (at least any that aren't purposefully stylized with weird colors). nonetheless, i will keep practicing and trying out new techniques or new approaches to color until i get better at it - each unsure result is a stepping stone towards what i actually wantmaybe i'll try underpainting again next time
