Yuri is my favorite!. But to be honest i have yet to see any yuri on /ic to the point i don't even think it exists. Focus on gesture drawing and learn how Vilppu uses sequential lines to help give an illusion of movement and how Vilppu builds and works on top of these abstract sequential lines that show flow and movement. The best way to describe this is like using hard wire as a frame for a figurine and how you build on top of the hard wire with clay, it's the same idea. When you are drawing cylinders and boxes try and relate them to parts of the figure such as arms or legs or torsos with volume. Over time you'll learn to relate parts of the figure with simplified forms instead of getting lost in the anatomy, anatomy comes later after you familiarize yourself with basic forms.

You also want to overlap forms on top of one another to better help give you the illusion of space and solidity. The details come from drawing lines with different line weight inside to better provide you with the illusion of form and space, it's not easy but you get better with time.
