What is the best framerate for pixel art sprites?
>>7103241who are you and why do you keep making this thread
>>7103245highly technical style and competent shading does not fit with the massive amounts of anticipation
holy shit new chris????
>>7109574new? pixelschizo has been a staple of /ic/ for years
dude these are illegible also the framereate depends on what you're animating and how (+the stylistic preferences you develop over time as you draw and learn!)
>>7103241the best framerate is 1.603527
see, the other schizos could learn a thing or two form this guy.>posts consistently, hes been doing this for years, which is a dedication and persistence that all permabegs, crabs and shitters alike should look up to>posts his own work>his art is utterly incomprehensible>stays in his own thread, doesn't bother anyone unnecessarily.keep doing your thing, pixelschizo. you're better than a lot of other folks here.
>>7116013>incomprehensible artI would call that tryhardingguy has 0 skill and has to compensate by making le quirky abstract vomit
>>7116013>i'm so smort, i own this placeso get your own schizo thread going you fat steamy turd
>>7103241>pixel art spritesJust don't. There was a point to using pixel art back when it was necessary to run a game on given hardware, but now it's a crutch for cowards too scared to make something that requires just a bit more effort.
>>7117029it's still a very fast and simple medium for low-budget games. it is also a crutch but it's useful in the same way that a literal crutch is. categorically there are plenty of game dev circumstances in which it's the best choice. and a competent pixel artist is better than dogwater digital art 99% of the time anyways, art skill > medium
>>7117474But competent digital art is infinitely better than competent pixel art, because doing it is good for literally everything where you'd want digital art for, and not just pixel art.OP shouldn't even be asking what the best framerate for pixel art animation is, because he's working completely ass-backwards. Framerate of animations was always a limitation based on what the hardware could do, what the storage could hold, and what the team had time to implement. Know what your limitations are is the first thing to figure out, while most faggots that work in pixel art are always just trying to do the bare minimum.
>>7117956you take that back, you take it back right now!
buuiuuymp
>>7117956Pic unrelated? That looks like a dogshit government funded educational shovelware
>>7133907When the A Boy and His Blob remake came out on the Wii, none of the criticisms were aimed at the graphics. You're just being a contrarian.

This is Collette from Rune Factory 3. Since this is the only pixel art thread on the board right now I'm asking here. Do you guys think someone drew this manually or it was drawn normally and converted to pixel art somehow? What sort of software would be used for such a conversion?
>>7152250i think its drawn normally and converted to pixel art, to convert to pixel art it does not really need special software, any photo editing software will do, just downscale the image
>>7153525Based, thank you friendo
