IMO once you train your brain to perceive 3D in a 2D space you'll level up quick, that's when I noticed myself getting way better anyways. Cross contour drawing will help with this I think but I can't really put a finger on what else. I had this one class where we just drew objects like shoes and jugs and fabric and shit and did cross contours across them and I'm pretty sure that's what trained my brain to think like this.Uhhh honestly I'm really lazy and never studied construction or anything. I've never drawn a loomis head in my life. I've just done a lot of life drawing and know what shit looks like now, the relationships between different proportions of the body. If i need to know anything specific like how certain muscle groups work I just look it up. I just run on vibes.

>>7147697It's two multiply layers, first uses a warm tone and the second uses a cool tone. The cool tone layer I only put shadows where I've already put warm tone shadows. Afterwards when I render I use the colour picker with the colours I already have, some slight adjustments if needed.
