based or cringe?
don't mean to be rude, and other anons can chime in, but I don't think this deserves its own thread
>>7143734Why not just trace a 3d model?
>>7143734anime heads look best when they make no sense
Anime heads are harder than regular faces and they are all different depending on the artist or the style. Deforming features is not easy.
>>7143909They're really not. The only reason one would look different is because the artist doesn't know how to draw heads.
>>7143743You are right but the same goes for the rest of the board

>>7143734Steven Zapata will never be good enough to draw anime girls.
>>7144028Steve beggata is a Chris Chan tier at drawing anime
>>7143734That seems like a lot of effort to still end up with very vague planes, like the eye sockets. Also, many of its conclusions don't apply once the perspective is changed just slightly. I don't see that approach as being very flexible, or even capable of producing new designs, as an animator should be able to.
>>7144053Please tell me where I can find more of your works, Teal-senpai!
>>7143883This is good.Study from this, the point is to give the illusion of 3D with the least lines possible.
>>7144088that one was posted on his twitterhttps://twitter.com/simon_7617118
You don't study them like a real subject, you just use the base of real subjects and study from there. You are studying a style, not a thing and for that you must copy on top of your base.
>>7144053Placing the eyeball structure deeper into the skull to simulated the concavity of the socket right here just straight up made me realize i put my eyeballs flat on the face. Thanks alot anon this actually helped.
>>7144053This is good if you already know what you are doing, for begs every little thing is important or else they just miss a lot of useful information
copy this manga twice to learn the most standard anime style

>>7144376PRANCIN ABOOT WI' YER HEADS FULLA EYEBALLS
>>7143734No. No, no, no, no no. You clearly have no grasp on how to draw 3-dimensionally. Unironically go back to drawing rotating cylinders and cubes. You will never figure out the form until you learn to draw 3-dimensionally. Your lines suggest that you're shooting in the dark trying to figure out where they should go because of the lack of confidence in your strokes.TRUST ME ANON, figuring out proportions and the shape of an anime skull, well actually, ANYTHING, is much easier when you're able to "feel the form"
