But it isn't? it's a lot easier than 2d art because the "artist" doesn't need to learn perspective, lighting, draftsmanship, and whatever. Basically anyone can master it right away because of how intuitive it is. There's still things like anatomy, but even then there's still things like character generators with 3dcg.

3d "artists" shouldn't be able to call themselves artists when I have to do so much more work than them.

A lot of those argument could be put on traditional art sculptures as well, and yet everyone thinks they're art as well. So I think your opinion is very niche.
