Post facial expressions.
Haunted house candid photos. I like these because the emotion is genuine, not posed or acted.
Everyone reacts a little differently

Real expressions are a bit ugly. Mostly not symmetric. For example if a person laughs, the lower eye lids close, but they both never do in the same manner. One eyelid is more closed than the other. Or if the corners of the mouth are rising, one corner does it more than the other. No human being looks like in these references.
>>7146564Good choice of study, thanks for sharing :)
>only 1 retarded anime imgbetter than expectedgood job anons
>>7146680going for 100% accuracy on expressions is a fool's errand and produces uncanny results. stop being a photocopier and understand what you see so that you can apply it to your own drawings

>>7146680absolutely this.looks like Marvel comic trash. Wouldn't be surprised they used such references
>>7146680>>7146750Just watch movies and pause at certain times. Well-lit and good acting.
>>7147359Yeah I take screenshots of the movies I watch all the time to save for references. Just grabbed a bunch of good ones watching Braveheart. Though I never end up using any of them.

>>7149305Devious, the rest of his costume is a red cloth onesie with pointy feet and a floopy pointed tail sewn onto his buttflap.
>>7146538This is very human like and Pixar only dreams to come this close in showing emotions, that's why they have to resort to extreme WOOA faces and spastic arms movements to make you understand what the characters are feeling
