Why isn't there a simple step by step process on what to study to get good? Why hasn't anyone invented that yet? Why do none of the tutorials make sense?

There is no step-by-step process for how to get good at anything. Getting good at something is partially the experience you build up by trying to do it and failing, and also learning how to think for yourself instead of trying to find an authority figure to cling on to.

Not rules, just tools. The world is a sandbox of infinite possibilites.

train your eye >> observing, drawing, copying from life and other artists
train your hand >> ensuring your copies are accurate and have right proportions
train your brain >> learn fundies and theory and practice them

if any one of these three lags behind your process won't be optimal, either your eye will not be able to detect what your hand did wrong or your brain won't know why you drew what you drew etc etc...these all must be trained at the same time.

There is one. I'm trying to develop it.

>Draw freehand specific angles, construct them from calculating their sine and cosine
>Understand the different kinds of perspective as FOV projections from inside a sphere
>Follow the rules of each kind of perspective
>Learn to rotate in perspective from an axis
I am currently here.
