>>7148032You haven't even tried. You're shit and probably only draw once a week.
>>7148032You will get there eventually. Keep at it and don't stop. OP Picrel is very achievable but work on your own thing first with no style in mind (for now).
>>7148029you wont photobash some 3d models from clip studio together? the horror. the horror.
hire assistants
>>7148029theres nothing special to it though its just hatching dont give up anon
>>7148096bait or mental retardation
What kind of bizarro land do you come from? In what world is drawing like Kui easy? Do you really think she learned to draw like that in a few months?
What did the animator mean by this?
>>7148029The issue is another one, that you could reach that level but just drawing that single page would take you weeks, while these guys pump them out daily. That's where the big thing about/ic/ refusing the existence of talent crashes down: its not a matter of output, it's a matter of how much energy you have left after This people is worlds apart from us, but not because of any technical bullshit you can conjure, appeal, asian genes, whatever, it's because in their brain this is just a pixel of the finished four dimensional work that is a whole fucking manga series. And this shit man, this isn't something you can learn from tutorials on internet or giving a thousand bucks to some boomer that only got lucky and became big studio art designer because twenty years ago nobody had the money for a tablet, this is something that you can exclusively find inside your own fucking brain, with the added difficulty that when you start noticing "wow I could never do that" it's already too fucking late
>>7148211they literally have assistants that draw half the stuff you see
>>7148195Motorboat
>>7148218people keep saying this like its a gotcha - well you can't draw as well as the assistants either.
>>7148029SameI'll never be able to draw or animate as well as speedoru and it depresses me
>>7148232Except that reply was to someone saying that Kui's productivity comes from being talented when in reality she has an entire team of people working with her
>>7148029That perspective is fucked. Guy started drawing a chicken, googled a chicken wing that was in another angle, and then pasted his characters where the chicken head go. You can absolutely draw like this without doing any effort.
>>7148218I always assume that unless it's confirmed they don't use assistants
>>7148256It's the opposite for manga. Unless confirmed otherwise, all mangaka use assistants, usually three or four. The dragon ball guy was considered remarkable for only having two.
>>7148233lmao
>>7148243>guythe artist is a girl
try drawing it, and you'll know how far you are truly off. You might be suprised how accurate you can copy a reference
>>7148263What's so funny?
>>7148029The animators can do it so you can too OP.
>>7148260>all mangaka use assistants, usually three or fourHiroya Oku had double that number.
>>7148211You say that but knowing that you have more pages to draw allows you to just focus on getting it done. It's a job, and you can treat it like a job. Doesn't mean it's no sweat. Like any job, it's really tiring. You're only seeing the end result, not the blood and sweat and tears put into it nor whatever fatigue the artist feels during and after the process. How do you know they're not agonizing over every page, worrying it's not good enough or that they messed up the values or that they're not going to have the time for the next 6 pages in the chapter or whatever? You don't, but it's not like authors are some magical ironmen born without the ability to feel uncertainty or tire. And the ability to keep trucking along with the job is something you learn over time. I was the same, I couldn't understand how they manage to make something that looks anything like that every single day for years. But over time I improved, became more accustomed to the pain and was able to continue drawing despite it. Even now after going pro I can feel that there's plenty of room for growth in this regard.>>7148218His mental fatigue point stands though. Assistants do the grunt work, actually inking the backgrounds or applying the tones. The author still has to figure out what it should look like and how to communicate that to the assistants instead of just drawing it themselves. It's a time-saving measure, not something that will spare them effort or energy. Take it from somebody who has done it, it's not any less exhausting with assistants.
>>7148029this is now a chimera threadtake random animals and sktech your own falin-chimera
>>7148438Didn't read everything sorry, but my main point was the mental fatigueYou probably have made good points but I'm biased by being way, way too fucking down lately. So you're probably at least 50% right
>>7148029Just try to.

>>7148211>while these guys pump them out daily.Wasnt Dungeon Meshi monthly or bi monthly? It doesnt change that much the fact that Kui is talented/proficient as fuck, but to say "daily" is a massive overestimation and you are unjustly putting her on a pedestal just to make her look unreachable.
>>7148029this exact design was stolen from another artist, though?
>>7148587coloring =/= painting
>>7148485 Tails gets trolled ain't got nothing on me
>>7148608That's clearly ink + watercolor. Such sour rapes.
>>7148596NTAIt was monthly, and even a monthly serialization requires finishing pages daily. Even if it's just a 25 page chapter, factor in the time it takes to storyboard it and you're still needing to complete an average of 1 page a day. It's really not a "massive overestimation" nor is it "unjustly putting someone on a pedestal" to look up to that. I certainly don't think it's unreachable though.I'm not serialized but I am a pro manga author and even drawing all day every day I'm only finishing 2 pages every 3 days or so. It's a bit higher level of polish (not to say I'm as skilled as someone like Kui though) and I'm drawing it on my own and in the end it'll still take me 3-4 months to draw a 50 page chapter. Compare that to the 1 month for a 25-30 page chapter of Dungeon Meshi and you can see that monthly authors are hardly slacking, they're just not pulling off the borderline superhuman shit that weekly authors do. And for the record there are monthly authors that put out chapters that are upwards of 60 pages (eg Doubutsu no Kuni), which certainly is very impressive.
rejected chimera #2: crayfish-spider-mosquito
yo hol up, white girl..........DOG
>>7148236Monthly mangaka tend to have less assistants
>>7148029manga makes me laugh sometimes, you get these fairly detailed realistic line drawings that look great and then the characters all have no detail anime faces. I mean i get it, they make for attractive characters but the juxtaposition of realism and anime really throws the aesthetics off and that makes me laugh
>>7148784I agree lol, there are very few who can make it work somehow.
Learn construction OPPerspective and simple shapes and shit
>>7148680Stop being ungovernable goddammit
>>7148784>>7148785That is very detailed by manga standards, she has a nose.Neither of you draw though.

simple is good too: the horse-scorpion chimera
>>7148877>>7148941can't be critical of what you like huh?
>>7148784Because no one wants to see it, it looks better without itMight as well complain they don't draw nose hairs and veins and cellulose
>>7148991Not them but it's not even an accurate observation. A large part of that entire drawing is simplified, not just the face. It's a consistent visual logic.
>>7148991when the criticism is fucking stupid, yes, you can't
>>7149000oh it is? thats funny, i dont see any hatching or tones in the faces.
>>7148211> it's a matter of how much energy you have left afterFix your diet
>>7149004What's funny about it? They're tiny on the page, and wouldn't be in harsh shadow anyway. It would be more distracting if they were more detailed, for the same reason this area isn't heavily detailed either.Besides that, you're basically saying "hmmm isn't it funny that cartoons are cartoonish? veeeery interesting". Water is wet.
>>7149004You know what I find funny? That people used to say that anime faces were shitty because they had exaggerated expressions and simple forms. Then you go and read comics and it is so clear the faces were made using an over the top reference, in comics the characters make the goofiest faces ever, literally no one realistically makes these faces while talking. Plus, no one wants to see visual pollution
I like how he draws the lion demon especially in the few last volumes.
>>7148029the fuck is this nonsense
>>7149017It's a story about eating good food with friends. Allegedly
>>7149016>he stop it already it is a woman
People clown on anime faces but think this is good
>>7149011aside from your lack of reading comprehension about my criticism, the example you posted just disproves your point. it has hatching and tones, giving it a higher detail than the faces... >>7148973 is a consistent style, not the OPs image
I wonder why demon slayer outsold the entire comic industry

He draws efficiently by dropping details and implies the facial feature with minimal strokes to draw.
>>7149062>Stylized and simplifiedyes and they both have consistent visual language. unlike >>7148029 with heads that do not match the rest of the drawing. if there was hatching or some tones in the faces they probably would fit in just fine

>>7148596With some exceptions, the monthly or bimonthly series usually compensate by having more pages, like 30-40 instead of 10-15.
>>7149295Don't move goalposts, your argument was detailed faces look bad, not "Miura-style detailed female faces look bad"
>>7149074that looks like shit and isn't "detailed" adding a bit of hatching doesn't make something detailed you nog and the eyes literally look like their drawn onto a mannequin with a fucking markerif somebody else would post a face with eyes like that you retards would call it symbol drawing/ic/ weebs literally have the shittiest of shit tastes

>>7148029How can an artist be proficient enough at drawing a bird with shading, yet utterly atrocious when it comes to hands, faces, boobs, perspective and uses a fill tool for shading in general. The odd usage of a straight line tool and the white brick building's "quality", especially at the top right, is rather inconsistent too.Could it be that this "artist" has lifted a number of works and drawn over them?>>7148587Similar to here, but all you notice on this is a difference in art style. Why the cartoonish characters in a properly drawn world and next to a properly drawn creature? Though the lion's eyes are offputting.>>7149074Linework here is terrible. Just look at the hands. Is it even the same artist shading it? And some of the shading is layered, some of it is flat, both with hatching. Why?
