Why are 2000s anime styles much more maligned than 80s and 90s ones by a lot of people?Sure, the switch to digital wasn't the best but the 2000-2006 era of anime is possibly one of the most experimental periods in terms of art direction
>>7212978You’re a zoomer who doesn’t know that Powerpuff Girls at the time was popular in Japan. We had a lot of knock off shitty “anime” cartoons like HiHi Puffy Ami Yumi, Yin Yang Yo, and anything that had to do with Chi/karate and elementals. 2000 - 2005 was Asian stereotypical years.
>>7212984Asian pandering years. Years pandering to Asian Americans.
FUCK OFF FAMICOM
>>7212988I've found the best way to do away with him is to mention Islamists. He has no rebuttal to the Taliban or Iran.
>>7212984dont forget xioling showdown
>>7212978If you're old enough to remember 80's anime shouldn't you have grown out of it in the mid 90's? Why are you sitting here in 2024 talking about children cartoons?
>>7212978Im not impressed with your waifu, or your obsession with her. Stop spamming this cartoon character.
>>7212978>the switch to digital wasn't the bestThat's the reason why.Transitional periods in any media tend to be looked down due to the artists not really figuring out the basics of the medium at the time.Same with CGI.
>>7212984Teen Titans in Japan and it’s just a bunch of annoying lolrandom bullshit and stale jokes (even back then). Hahaha those wacky nips.
>>7213267ok
>>7213256There was a ton of shows with of course Avatar in 2004. The Asian pandering back then was so unreal.
>>7213350I think the creator of Teen Titans is a nip so he gets a pass. But like on top of anime being shoved in kids faces on Saturday mornings, and time slot blocks with Japanese sounding names you had western cartoons coping with China this, kung fu that, the way of the dragon, the samurai and ninja..what the fuck was wrong with TV execs in those days?
