You don’t. Hairy men should never be depicted in art. Repulsive

For the very hairy parts you don't need to paint every hair, you can fudge it with shading and small specks of flesh showing through. For the rest I would recommend practicing a style of pencil strokes to approximate hair, but not copy each and every hair. After a while you would develop a skill to quite quickly convey hair, but it will take a few weeks of practice, quite possibly. Some people would copy your reference identically, and then that's another possible answer, you copy your provided reference exactly and that's how.

Probably you're going to need a range of pencils and (or) pens though possibly you could do the whole image with a 2H.

I'd like to take this opportunity to say that 4Chan was a total cunt to me most of the time so, fuck you guys (and girls). Thanks.

Wrong. Every man depicted in art should have a glorious coat of thick body hair.

Anyway the best way to get good looking bodyhair is to follow the usual path they take. If you see enough hairy men you begin to notice that the body hair has a swirling path over the pecs the move toward the midline and then downward toward the groin.

I dont have my tablet available to me right now to demonstrate but picrel is more or less correct. (Its hairs, so yes, the opposite direction is also correct.) Once you have this general flow pattern down when you dust in your representation of the hair it will look good no matter what.

Had to learn this from studying hardcore bear/bara artists. (nesskain is undeniably good regardless of the subject matter)

>>7300669
Hold on, hair grows outwards away from the penis? I thought what grows on the torso goes inwards towards the groin because of gravity
>>
>>7300674
Anon, the hair is a line. You generally dont know which end is the start or the end. That means yes in the opposite direction it will point toward the groin and is correct. Saying if it grows away from or toward is a matter of perspective.
But if you plan to be hyper detailed about where each hair starts and ends then you want to have the ends flowing toward the midline/groin.

It's only a fag thing isn't it? I don't think anything aimed at women has these hairy apes as a love interest.
>>
>>7300676
Hm, I thought there were more to it with regards to line weight.

Eh Lineweight on individual hairs tends to only matter for the middle when it's a curved/ wavy shape. The shape of the hair is more important than the liveweight of each individual one. The ends being tapered is all you really need to worry about

and even with that, I don't recommend drawing in every individual hair unless your piece is heavily clean line-art dependent. You can get away with individual hairs on the more sparse parts/ the edges and darken the central shape of hair with a larger brush to imply the mass in the center is thicker.
