This is a mistake that most /beg/s make, and all the anime tutorial books still don’t realize it and keep teaching using the left loomis method expecting /beg/s will suddenly understand how to apply the depth without using any guidelines.
>>
I'll stop drawing until you release your book, wouldn't want to fall into bad habits!

I've never seen the vertical lines that mark where the eyes go
Looks useful
>>
left looks better
>>
>1 eye width spacing
tons of japanese artists use 1.5 or even 2 eyes of space between, that's why it still looks "off" even though it has le form

does anyone have the tutorial that shows the common mistake people make in making the outer side of the face too far away from the center? it gives a really good example and i wish i had saved it.

>boobs growing from the armpit
Silly /beg/ faggot
>>
Making vertical lines like that is way too much work. You really only need to do horizontal lines for faces. And planes come after the guidlines and aren't even really needed for anime. You could have just saved yourself a lot of trouble by drawing one horizontal line for the eyes.
>>
>>7304972
This only really seems useful if you want to draw a robot or something. Faces don't indent that much, the eye rests in the eye socket. You need to learn basic skeleton and muscle stuff, even for anime.

>>7305397
It's just illustrating how most people start making faces.
>>
>>7305364
It's only too much work if you can do without it.
This is what I'm saying, people barely consider /beg/s' capacity. Imagine if Kim Jung Gi just told people "hurr just draw from your imagination, you don't need any guidelines, it's too much work."
>>
>>7305405
A beg has trouble drawing curves. How are they going to stay focused if the guidelines have a load of lines even?

yep, fill form - you never make fittable lineart if you dont have form inside ur head (or you trace it, lol).
Also with this method my figure drawing/feets/hans making x10, than I try "box" building method

Oooh sorry for bothering, but it seems the previous owners, about facing straight heads are needed too.
Please upload them.
Pretty please

Why does everything have to have such geometric guidlines for anime? Even Loomis is really only good for cranking out perfectly unflawed models.
>>
>>7305578
i dont think youre meant to do these all the time, id consider it more learning how the face is formed fundamentally

because a few 2 - 3 px lines placed where it doesn't belong is all that's needed to make your 'anime' look westoid

hi retard, it's very easy to tell the skill level of an artist by a rough sketch. op is like pre pre /beg/

even professional artists can't draw perfect circle in a stroke, do you mean math teachers can draw better than professional artists?
>>

post your guide.
I post what works with me when I construct head, if you dont like it - just ignore or make better.
When start to draw anything I try too build a guidelines on white void, but then I get what I can sculpt it in 3d dimension with form, not only with lines, so that x10 draw speed.
Anyway, yes I /beg/, but I post something what help me in my adventure, unlike you, mr. crabs.
>>
>>7306039

I don't have a guide because I'm self aware enough to know that I'm not good enough to make one.
>>
>>7306055
Ffairly. Anyway, what you're doing here, there no much lulz :|

the forehead bulge is weird but it kind of works?
i think these examples give a better understanding on how it's meant to be used
