Do not underestimate the power of the chalkboard, anons. It’s like an infinite piece of paper.

I mean this seriously when I say the chalkboard has completely transformed my art. I started doing it once I saw will Weston’s anatomy studies and demonstrations mostly in chalk, and how he said “it’s about the amount of bodies you draw”, not the quality of each one. I now see why: the chalk board is the perfect anti perfectionism tool. Nothing you draw on it matters, causing you to become less attached to the result and more to the process. You can use it to warm up, take notes while you draw, or just plan. The various colors can be helpful for differentiating body parts during anatomy studies, learning color combinations, simple and complex rendering techniques, any general experimenting. The chalkboard is probably one of the most important tools for trad artists especially and im sure digital artists could find a place for it as well

I'd rather just do everything on my tablet with an ink tool.

anon maybe breathing the chalk powder is not good for your health. You see, my mom is a teacher and here, in Hueland, there used to be a bonus money in the teachers' salary called "chalk powder" that it was like those bonus for risky jobs, some countries have, because they breathed that powder everyday in the classroom and they could become sick.
So you should use the white board instead (this bonus was over when they stopped using chalkboards btw)
just saying take care

drawing on chalkboard is fun. easy to shade and really tactile and i like that sort of thing. if you owned one it would probably get really messy though, and if its small enough to hold like that youll probably inhale a lot of chalk

Yup, something about trannies gatekeeping a group buy, so glad to make everyone seethe until a mf came around, bought the course and gave it away. Trannies were seething so hard after that.

Ah, good ol' time.

> noisily slurping some tisane

Of course, nobody ever really studied anything from Will Wetson, but everyone wanted the course because it was unavailable.
