Hello everybody! This is the first time I'm writing something here, I hope I'll figure out the interface and find where to read replies. The story is this: I'm a designer and I decided to do something for fun. I keep coming up with ideas for everyone, now it's my turn to create my masterpiece. I decided to make a web service where you can draw pixel art. This service will be simple and authentic, in the spirit of 4chan. There will be no censorship, anonymously, draw even a swastika, even penises, even kittens. Then it can be published on the main page, where you can comment / like different drawings. There will also be a top 10 of the best. The question is, the opinion of artists on this topic is especially valuable: what do you think the most important/basic tools should be? In addition to the brush (+ its size), eraser, forward/backward, erase, etc. I have looked at various similar services and they are all either too complicated or very childish cartoon. I want to create a feeling of complete freedom and chaos. If you are an artist or just a person who likes such things, I will be glad to listen to any suggestions. Of the ideas, it was still possible to make only one black color available so far, and then add colored ones.----PS I do it all alone, I also plan to code myself. Below is the design that I have already made. By the way, I bought the domain :D
And this is the main page
I have a suspicion that this branch is not for my request. Can you tell me where I should write to get answers? (preferably not in a week ahah)

>>7360902Ask around /g/, it's faster. I like your idea, will check it out when I get home.
>>7360902Post on /v/ drawthreads and fanart threads also.
>>7361031>>7361024>>7360969Thank you all! Also will post in these threads
>>7360854- Exporting- Configurable hotkeys- Copying/pasting (from within the application, so using a virtual clipboard so people won't cheat (if that's a concern for you))- Box, lasso, and magic wand selection tools- Dithered brush and dithered bucket fill- Canvas flipping and rotation- Quick brush resize: hold down a key and drag your mouse to increase the size of your brush, like in Krita and Aggie.io>Of the ideas, it was still possible to make only one black color available so far, and then add colored ones.I actually like the idea of black being the only color. It makes this service feel like Miiverse where you must think hard about how to express your subject with only black and white. If you decide add more colors, I offer this suggestion: allow the user to select only 3 colors, with the defaults being black, white, and grey. This gives the user the ability to customize his drawing's colors while still limiting the drawing's overall palette.
>>7361688 (Me)About my color point, I retract that. I see now that you intend to allow the user 1 custom color in addition to white, as seen here >>7360859. I initially interpreted your statement as meaning you would give complete freedom over color quantity and choice.
In this order:>More ColorsAt least RGB CMY, but if you really intend to limit the palette while not being too niggard, you can go by powers of 2 until it stabilizes. Video-game generations are a good frame of reference, SNES being more than enough with, I believe, 256 colors.>LayersIf it's kept B&W, then no need, but if more detail is planned, then layers help me to shade a drawing. 3 should be enough;>Copy/Cutting/Dragging selection toolsRespecting the Alpha color, maybe having a solid background layer so you can have only upper layers movable;>Color replacementLet's say the palette works on a drawing-by-drawing case. So I added 4 colors so far, selected them from a 256-tone color picker and whatever. But now I want color number 3 to be red, not green. I can click it and choose the new color, so all the current green pixels will change accordingly;>Magic wand OR eraser-paintingA very useful feature in MS Paint is being able to pick a primary color, a secondary color, then drag the eraser with a right click. That turns everything that contains your primary color into the secondary, allowing for some manual color replacement or for changing colors only on a specific region of an area;>FramesIf we get to this point, congratulations, you have quite the advanced tool available now. Animating at its simplest only need a frame-by-frame mechanic with onion skin 1 frame ahead and behind.
>>7361701Hi! Yes, I want the main color to be one — black and white. Colored colors can be bought, for example, so that there is some kind of monetization. Plus, I'm thinking of doing something like modes in the future. For example, a month of red, a month of green, and so on.
>>7362669>Colored colors can be boughtOk, I'm out. Fuck you.
lol the absolute delusional kikery
>>7362669>Colored colors can be bought, for example, so that there is some kind of monetizationscum
>>7364517>>7364544>>7364779That's the reaction ahah. So, why do you think this is a bad idea? I do not plan to make a donation dump out of this, this is just one of the ways to somehow ensure payment for hosting and so on in the future. The main functionality will be completely free, only some buns can be added to support all this. The second option is banner advertising. In 4chan, you buy the "cancellation" of the captcha and all that, what's wrong with that
i mean 1 dollar is not that bad..
>>7364953You should do what other sites do. Have a basic color palette and then sell themed color palettes with exclusive colors. Putting all color behind a paywall for pixel art is kinda ass.
>>7364962Based on what?
thank everyone for answers anyway, see you later when i fished it. Have a good day :)
Adds support for biforms.I'm not going to give you ideas for free, I'm working on something similar.
You only need 1 button and a text field for the prompt.
>>7360854It better have a save using Nearest Neighbor feature or some equivalent or I'd just consider it as another self proclaimed "Pixel App" that belong to the trash.Almost all "Pixel Apps" that I have used don't have a saving feature that does not distort the pixel positions when saving.
