Thickly exposed
Day 2Mostly from imaginationAbout 2 hours
>>7364279I wish I could imagine an apple :(
>>7365174pretty cool
Looks good, keep practicing, my advice is that you use big brush strokes instead of using a small brush strokes.
day 3 did some mining off camerafrom imagination
>>7366008Not terrible for a beginner, but you need loomis and it shows. and how many boxes have you drawn today?
>>7366008I admit the skull looks funky when I look at my screen from a sharp angle.
>>7366008very funny anonDay 3Almost no imagination, trying to draw what I seeAbout 1h20mDamn I need to upgrade from mouse to drawing tablet if I want to get serious skills in this hobby
>>7366257Neat. Now do some life drawings!
>>7364279I would hit it for sure good job op
>>7366787okDay 4Reference from that one thread40 minpretty sure the proportions are off lol, didn't bother moving on to values
>>7367618Yeah anon, life drawing would benefit you greatly. Try something small like drawing your thumb or a can of soda or something. Try exercising those fundies
>>7367618Keep on keeping on.
Day 5. This one took a few hours. Also want to mention I've never drawn anything in my life before starting this thread.
>>7367618This. We can’t honestly evaluate your drawing skills or anyone’s drawing skills accurately until we see their life/observation drawings. Drawing from 2D reference isn’t that different than tracing and it’s uninteresting and not very impressive. Let’s see those life drawings!
>>7368137Meant to reply to: >>7367620
>>7367880Decent, but did you draw bridgeman twice?
Do you have cerebral palsy? Why are your lines so timid and shaky? You might as well fix it now before you get entrenched in a bad habit. Simplify your brush strokes or just use better shapes.
>>7368137Like this?Day 5Life drawing my coffee mug30 minsProbably sticking to paper until my tablet arrives, linework with mouse is just too painful
>>7368959Yes like that! Now instead of “learning to draw” from just 2D. You should practice from life every day as well as from reference. Practice drawing cups, everyday objects, go outside and sketch your POV etc. and use online resources/books/pictures whatever to supplement.
