Probably a retarded question, but I've seen sped up drawing videos on youtube where people simply use the bucket tool to color in their drawings, and they never run into this problem. Are they just extremely good at not leaving any open spaces between the lines? Or do they check for every possible empty space between the lines aftrt they finish drawing outlines? I'm trying not have have any empty spaces on my drawings while doing the outlines but I just can't fucking do it.
post your work first NIGGER
>>7367744Just copy your line art in another layer, completely close the shapes without regard for style/line quality, use the bucket and get rid of the copied layer. Not leavig open spaces is otherwise impractical and heavily dependant on style, as you'll probably want discontinued lines in a lot of instances
>>7367744More advanced drawing programs usually have an option for their bucket tool to not spill through gaps (of adjustable size). Clip Studio Paint has such an option on its bucket that I use. Otherwise, it's also a bit of learning how to use layers and guiding layers effectively.
>>7367744Krita has a threshold option for bucket tool. Just stop using mspaint.
>>7367744I think is a Paint only problem, the program I use, Sketchbook, is the most barebones drawing program that there is outside of Paint and I have never had that problem outside of human errors because Im stupid.

I use paint.net with no anti-aliasing, I just use 4px wide brush and that is it.
>>7368153What the fuck, I've been using SAI for years, but I just now realized it also has this option.Based, I will never have to manually close every single gap again!
>>7367744Do the colors in another layer:>draw the outline of a single color area (i.e. just blue for this specific area, etc)>bucket fill the center>(if in photoshop) double bucket fill the center to remove the gap>(alternatively) brush that gap out>sometimes other programs already fills the gap correctly>move on to another color area
