Been drawing/art since I was about 8.Was pretty shit at every other thing in school and grew up in a bad home, so it was my outlet.I do primarily ballpoint pen on Bristol.I personally still think I have a long way I can go, but getting more comfortable with sharing.

>>7369799Beautiful work OP. I hope you find he confidence and courage to share more of your beautiful work with us.
bruh wtf is this. good job but is this your fetish or something
>>7369799Nice, post more.
>>7369799rokurokubi
>>7372873No, I actually like to draw a lot of horror, yokai, etc.
>>7372905Yep
>>7372872Thank you, I'll try. This is actually 19x24" and it felt really good getting back into bigger traditional works, even though it took a couple months.Close up of the face
>>7369799The only person more insane than a graphite artist is the ballpoint chad. Much respect bro.
>>7369799>the only real work you had was drawing a tube>the tapering is all over the placeC'mon, man.
>>7373500Pyw show me ur tube skills
>>7373500What's the problem?
>>7374783Varying thickness is not necessarily wrong, but it needs to follow a smooth transition, with symmetrical sides.
>>7369799This is beautiful work anon, you should be proud
>>7374783he has crabs
congrats you copied a photo? it's really obvious you can't actually draw lol
>>7374906I suppose so.
>>7374853Oh I see what you are saying. I thought you were meaning tapering as in line work tapering.Yeah, I went back and forth a lot with the thickness.Initially I had uniform thickness but I wanted to give it a sort of in and out look to convey more "length", if that makes sense, but I likely could have done it better for sure.
>>7374906Can you draw, then? Show us.
>>7369799Beautiful work
>>7374933>>7374853whats the correct way to have the neck look farther away?
>>7375065I wanted to make it so that the area of the neck that is getting "thinner/smaller" would be the area moving away from the viewer, while the thickest, up to the head would be the largest moving towards the viewer. Also why the I made the head disproportionately larger compared to the body, by a tad.I Definitely could have conveyed the foreshortening better, that is for sure.Rokurokubi don't appear to have a real limit to how their necks can stretch, thin, think, etc. so I was cool with it.
>>7375148I'm asking what the correct was to do that was since the other guy said it was wrong.
>>7369799Necks don't stretch like this, dumbo. It causes you to die.
>>7375508Herophilus over here.Which is why it is a Rokurokubi, dumbo.
>>7369799On the flip side of things, when I am away from home (typically during breaks from work), I like to do works away from photorealism and horror portraits for others.Normally they are a lot more heavy on line work with significantly more visible hatching/roughness.
>>7369799When I am working on a tablet, it is usually only ever to draw gooner works for people that request it. (Ignore the fucking right arm)I have found over the years, that being stuck to one style, one medium, one theme, gets to be very fucking exhausting and is a fast track to creative/learning suicide. But hey, to quote anon above, "it is really obvious you can't actually draw, lol."
>>7369799do you have more yokai OP
>>7376056I have a noppera-bō I need to finish but I had to put it on hold to work on a portrait for someone.Did you have one in particular you are fond of?
>>7376056I have this baby though, from a bit back.
