I've noticed many artists do master studies of their favorite artists. Should I focus on learning the general foundations of art first, or start with master studies and learn the foundations later?

So if you need to do that, do it. Your only enemy is your ego so be humble and honest about your current state, always, and you will be fine
Master studies first to prevent burnout/ending up like most of /ic/If you consistently struggle with something, perspective or drawing a particular bodypart for example, look up some random shitty youtube guide but then go back to drawing actual things
