This is admittedly tricky. Even experienced tradfags can have some trouble getting into digital because digital color mixing and the digital medium is actually rather unintuitive. The best thing to do in this case is to at first stick to very simple brushes (hard round meme) and don't rely on blending/mixing brushes, try to lay out your colors with hard brushes with no blending capabilities because until spectral color mixing implementation becomes a standard addition to most digital art software the default additive blending will turn things gray and muddy. If whatever software you choose has spectral color mixing, great, enjoy your free pass to flavortown.
