Is this book actually a decent and effective way to learn to draw, especially for comics and animation? I mean, I'm sure it's okay enough, I'm just wondering if anyone's actually gotten anything out of this approach to gesture drawing (which seems almost contradictory to other approaches) and shit like mass drawing.

>>7374897The book has very little to do with basic observation drawing.
>>7374710It's not a good book for what you want. It has the issue all gesture drawing books in that gesture is pretty much useless without any obervation or at least some previous knowledge. If you are a complete beg you won't get anything fromn this. To learn you actually need to know how things look via observation. Blind gestures are less than worthless.
