>>7375808That's true, it's very flexible, I'm not a professional so I don't have the pressure to change things quickly, and only want to do this as a hobbyist because I love it, so I don't mind it too much, also because I like to do things the hard way to really force myself to learn these things.Usually I do a small sketch painting figuring out the mood and colors before going for it, usually then I make use of all these adjustments capabilities digital has, until I can figure out how I want something to look.

>>7376199Depends on how customized you make your gradient maps. Most of the times they're used you don't even notice. The times you do notice it's because the person did a poor job of converting grey scale to more natural colors or literally just used a gradient map and did nothing else then called it a day.
