I did, I graduated in 2010 and got a job as a concept artist in 2011. I had like 4 different studios interested in me at the time but I chose EA in the end.Art school gives you a greaet atmosphere of being surrounded by a bunch of like minded people where you will naturally compete with and offer critique for one another. You get expert professional advice from professors and you get a dedicated 4 years of doing nothing but art. Figure drawing and painting classes will offer you the basics and you'll learn a real workflow in your illustration classes. From inspiration finding, thumbnailing, taking proper reference, finalizing sketches, working with an art director, and then the final illustration. And most importantly, you'll gain friends that you'll use as connections for the rest of your life because knowing someone that knows someone is the best way to get a job.

>>7396948It's crazy that people can't just Google art classes. There are small community art centers that gives lessons cheaper than the community colleges in the area. One of the smaller museums near me does drop-in life drawing sessions for 20 bucks. Someone can put together an education that combines self-taught and instructed and it honestly isn't that hard. Of course it sucks if someone lives out in Bumfuck, but there are still probably opportunities if you're motivated
