Recently I've been seen transparent spots in my eyesight called ''floaters'' apparently is a harmless affection but the sudden increase of these may need a check-up.. My Dad also was diagnosticated with Cataracts today and I can't even afford his treatment much less my own. I'm terrified of the idea of loosing my eyes.. Is there more anons here with eyesight problems to share?, I'm really sorry if this is offtopic in any way but I need to cope with this fucking feeling. Also, a thread about health and prevention, I don't think it's bad from time to time. We take it for granted that we will be healthy for the rest of our lives but hey, I'm only 28 years old and I already feel like my world is going to shit, maybe I should take care of you.

A balanced diet is not always affordable.>>7398757He used to welding a lot, sometimes without mask that obviously affects him. I'm worried because he's the kind of idiot that would do it again even if he knows is bad for his eyes.>>7398729I've been neglecting my sleep for a couple of years know, depression makes you care less about you until you get hit by reality.. then you sink even lower. I'm trying to sleep more since I been seeing these things.
>>7398777>Only drink water for a period of time doesnt sounds very healthy and also my diet is already shit but not because of what I eat more like what I don't. A balanced diet is not always affordable.Good God, I hate americans

I have very shaky hands, is it ok that I rely on stabalizers?
My vision in the distant got blurry since early october, and since before that I had been seeing flashes appearing suddenly. Afterimages last longer for me and are stronger, sometimes I see darkened spots. It concerns me, but with hope and trust in God I'll get that treated soon.

>>7399448could try getting a small quiet desk fan
>>7398725Floaters can be a sign of pre-diabetes or full diabetes. You can get your doctor to give you a blood test to confirm this. Make sure you exercise, cut down on your sugar intake (try coffee or tea instead of energy drinks) and try less sweet snacks and more savoury. I know drawing at your desk for long hours encourages snacking behaviour, but once you begin down the diabeetus path there really is no going back, only halting the progression of your symptoms. Change your sedentary, fat fuck ways now, or go blind at 40.
>>7401263Diabetes is what I fear the most anon, I dont usually snack to much sweet snacks regulary but I like my coffee with sugar, and like like most of us sugary stuff. My sleep scheadule is terrible, So I'm really hoping is just that what ruined my eyes which is no better but better that getting Retinopahy. In any case I'll try to do a blood test but to be completely honest with you I'm dreading the results...
>>7398725dude same... you wouldn't happen to have gotten the vaccine? I'm sus about it haha
>>7398983You have to sleep dumbass
>>7401353covid vaccine?, nah my brother also got vaccinated by the same shit and got nothing but a slight fever the day before he got it.
>>7398729Posture is almost entirely a meme. Not staying still for long periods is the real deal
>>7398725More floaters suddenly can mean retinal detachment, so you do need to see a doctor ASAP. They could have just been there all allong and you didn't notice, but better safe than sorry.Anyway, losing your eyesight doesn't mean your end as an artist, it just means that you have to change your approach. Monet's a famous example but there's also this dude: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fi38ooKPvaEArt should be concerned with conveying experience and not just basic visual phenomena anyway. I hope to have my eyesight for a long, long time, but I'm comforted by the truth that even visual art doesn't require exacting acuity if you approach from certain angles.
>>7404409OP here, I dont think is retinal detachement because I dont have other symptoms associated with it. I had floaters since my early 20 at least but it was 1 or 2 tiny spots that go away anyway so I didn't notice them. It was only since a month a ago that I've been seen them a lot.
>>7398725How to take care of your health in a nutshell1: Sleep 8 hours a day uninterrupted2: Eat one large meal a day, spend at least 10-14 hours without food, fasting increases longevity3: Make sure you're getting proper nutrition from the foods you eat, get blood tests and see if your levels are normal for your age/sex etc and adjust accordingly to get more of what you need through supplements or food4: Stretching, flexibility is important, if you become stiff it makes it harder to move. Make sure to stretch every part of your body to as far as it can go for about a 30 second hold before moving to the next. 5: Exercise, your best posture is your next posture. Your body is meant to move so make sure to spend time moving, walking, running, jumping, and throwing. You only really need about 15 minutes of intense exercise a day. You can even start a time and just run as fast as you can as far as you can, as if some wild animal is chasing you. It'll suck but that's what it takes to keep your heart an lungs in shape. Lifting weights is also a great way to maintain strength but it usually costs money so lookup bodyweight exercises and do the bare minimum within your 15 min starting point. For eyes, make sure to blink keep them hydrated, eat carrots for nightvision, and try to look long distances every 30min to an hour a day away from your computer to prevent short term vision issues. You're still young so you're correct that more likely than not you'll be okay but everything deteriorates if you don't use it, young or not.best of luck anon
