What do i do wrong
>>7407116>>7407116drawinglines still appearing bad transitionswrong value relationship, some darks that had to be darker are instead lighter than the lightest darks background color throwing your values offcomposition
>>7407116my goodness I'm gay
>>7407116left handed?
>>7407116You picked a shit reference
>>7407116is that a tumor growing from his abdomen?
Your line weight is way off, proportions are funky
You have to spend more time and pay more attention to detail on each part of the body. You are sloppy and just do big brush strokes for areas which are way more complicated in reality. That's why your proportions are so off. You have to look better.
>>7407116no nipplesno belly buttonmiddle line on the belly is missingi don't mind the renderingkeep up the good work, you have potential, good luck
>>7407116That body is pure sex
>>7407116>What do i do wrongOpened a new thread instead of posting in one of the generals.GTFO.
>>7407360That's a manlet's body type.
>>7407116The issue is you aren't actually painting what's there. You're putting a lot of lines in places that there are no lines.
>>7407382nobody will ever want to fuck you the way I wanna fuck that guy
Ok i'm trying another piece now but i have a question regarding brushes. Right now i have pressure sensitivity for the brush size, should i use the same opacity for all shades? Cause i do, i use set full opacity for shading layers and then change the opacity of the whole layer. But how do i blend then? I end up with hard shades that look ugly and don't give any semblance of volume. I'm painting in all grey now and would change the colours later, but how do i do skin tone hues with reds and blues, etc. the upper layers of shading would make the hues look off
>>7407877So this is it. I feel like i chose the wrong skin tone and replaced the grays with wrong values because i got confused in all the layers. Still struggling with arms and legs and i guess there's still lines. Is it worse, better or the same as my OP pic?
>>7408068>>7407877What are studying here, color or form? Or are you just trying to nail down a process?
>>7408122Just trying to figure the basics out. Ideally i'd like to be able to paint at least semi-realistically so i just paint
>>7408132>Just trying to figure the basics outNothing about what you're trying to do here is "basic". You lack fundamentals, no way around it. If you're just playing at the moment, fine, can't be too hard on you, but if you haven't got basic knowledge, no 300-word critique from here will help you improve, it'll sooner discourage you. There are plenty of youtube tutorials for you to scrub through first. For what it's worth to you:Your values are limited but you've gone ahead and tried to push the dark values where they don't belong, see the neck for example. What I'm referring to here is called "Value grouping", picrelNext is that your edge control needs work. The abs have no definition --[because you don't understand the anatomy forms, how the fat softens the forms, where the light is coming from ETC. ETC.] -- Observation will only get you so far, support it with knowledge.Next, the color. We won't go there - yet.Doesn't help that the guy is under really shit lighting coming from all over the place and washing out all cast shadows, so all you have are flat forms with no depth but a little bit of muscle definition. Pick something with a bit more mood and dimension OR better yet, paint small things with simple forms and then explore textures. You'll learn more by building up from there.
>>7408204Also
>>7408218I like it, but it still looks stylized, how would you make something like that appear more fotorealistic? Blend the colors more?
>>7408854Wow, you're shameless. Read his advice. Compare his drawing with yours and with the reference. There's a huge skill gap there. It's not the time to be concerned with realistic rendering, anon.
>>7408865He's obviously miles better, I'm not denying the obvious. It's just, all those shade values are an infinite spectrum, i really curious how you would apply and blend them all to achieve realism
>>7407116everything is projected onto a flat planealso it's like a tumor mass growingRemember that the bone is before the muscle
>>7408867You've been given advice on this 2 times now once in the beg thread and now here, and it's like it just goes over your head. You just want somebody to hold your hand the entire process. Pay for a tutor. The input given to you the first time was already good enough. This other anon went above and beyond and even made a drawing to showcase what they're explaining and you nitpick it.
>>7408887I'm not nitpicking it, the drawing is great. If you're the draw anon thank you, i didn't mean to offend anyone
>>7408854I would add more transitions, add texture, and gnberally spend longer than 20 minutes on it. Photorealism can take hours. If you for 1 second thought this was a complete pictire, you worse off than I thought. Its not worth the time to explain anything to you, you're either ESL or too full of yourself to see that your questions are too broad to answer in any way other than "read a book or watch a video".. Good luck man.
>>7409028>If you for 1 second thought this was a complete pictire, you worse off than I thought. Now you're just bullying me
>>7409127Now you're just trolling.
>>7408068Is a fucking Manlet
>>7409463Uh yeah, most body builders are. Did you not know that?
>>7407116>What do i do wrongBeing born with no talent and creativity genes. There's no Loomis for your lack of genetic talent, much like how there's no gym for your lack of height.
>>7409648this video is hilarous because that tall dude went completely batshit insane
>>7409667Yeah, he went, bald, fat, and mentally challenged. And it wasn't the drugs, he was genetically predestined to that outcome.
>>7409667>>7409675Source??
>>7409675were you genetically predetermined to be a whiny little bitch all the time?
>>7409677He's old news, years ago the guy crashed mentally and physically, it always happens with these guys. He went overweight as fuck, bald, "ugly", and then batshit crazy. He became a fitness lolcow and disappeared. The last thing I heard was this:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6kSev9a_LiEHe seems to be "healthy" now, lol
>>7409648I mean I'm not surprised he ended up like he did. Somebody who'd make content like this has an an extremely overinflated fragile ego.
>>7409704The sample size is small and maybe it's just a matter of correlation instead of causation, but there needs to be some research done on steroids and mental health. It feels to coincidental that the moment these fuckers stop they all go batshit whether it be trooning out or what Connor has been doing. Having massive amounts of peds pumping through your body then suddenly stopping has to have some profound effects on the brain.
>>7409715Nah, there's a whole galaxy of fuckers just like him out there, and it is extremely rare the occurrence of such obvious mental illness like his case. Violent and self-destructive behavior is not the same, like the Calum Von moger case, who is a poor innocent retard. This guy has some particular mental issues, obviously drugs could have affected his genetically "dormant" issue, but it's not a common occurrence at all in that roided population. You can count them with the fingers of one hand, Denise Rutkowski in example. Or one of the Barbarian Brothers (and David's case wasn't even extreme)
