>Want feedback on my comic
>Dont want to spoil anything
Its far from done though. Just wish I could get feedback on it before I approach the deep end.
How would you guys set up making a comic that covers all your bases?
>>

This is what discords are for.
>>
>>7408016
What do you want us to criticize? the story? the pacing? the art?
>>
>>7408017
Noted. Im an old man learning your guyses new fangled tech, but that still has the potential for story leaks.
>>7408020
All of that, but mostly the story and themes im tackling.
>>
>>7408021
Then post a summary of your plot, themes, and your best page.
>>
>>7408016
I don't get it. Just post it? And then get the feedback.
You know not everything you create will get rave reviews, right?
If you want per page/few pages feedback for medium-long work, then your only option would be patreon or similar sites. That's how a lot of porn comics and games are produced. Small updates per month, then the patrons and other people will comment.

Makes something short and good first. 1 page webcomic, 5 pages oneshots, 10 pages oneshots, etc.

The theme is thr nature of a mans responsibility to another man when it comes to helping each other.

The protag acts as a spirit, able to weave himself into other peoples lives to guide them out of their problems. He helps a man escape some loan sharks and as all his debts are paid, the man jumps right back into the world he was helped out of. athe story ends with the protag saying "Maybe God doesnt answere prayes until he know the heart is truly repentant? I dont know, I may never know." Then he leaves him to his own devices.

Thats the end of one comic. It leaves it open eneded for the viewer.

i know they arent all going to be bangers, my issue is mostly about it being good. once its finished, I want my work to be good under scrutiny. Id hate to make something and be wrong.
>>
>>7408056
You know, this doesnt sum up the other things going on that make this story flow, how the "spirit" works, which was my main concern with spoilers. This synopsis is mostly just the soul. a general theme anyone can use in any genre.

I think I know how to ask my questions without spoiling anything now.
>>
Anon, if you're going to be so secretive about your story for whatever reason, it's going to be difficult to help you let alone take this seriously
>>
>>7408056
So, like a series? you should finish and then post the first part of your comic for solid crits man, you're not giving us a whole lot to work with here.
>>
>>7408091
Alright. my bad, but yeah, a series.
Ill get the first issue done then return. A set up of the main cast and such.
>>
>>7408056
the premise sounds retarded
it'd be one thing if the helper was an actual person with something to lose, who goes out of his way to help someone only for it to be for nothing, but the entire premise is rendered moot by the supernatural nature of the helper
yeah no shit a gambler is going to right back into gambling when a literal magic genie just wipes his slate clean and puts him in a position to do it all over again with the added benefit of free experience
at least I'm assuming it's gambling or something driving him because it would be even more retarded if he just took a debt because reasons and then had it wiped, at that point it's literally just a magical pixie giving him free money
>>
>>7408108
nah, he still bound to human rules since he has his own responsibilities.
How is it retarded though? Its a common motif even in the super hero genre.
>>
>>7408114
what you're saying makes no sense in the context of what I said
again, you're basically providing a deus ex machina to give someone something for free, the intended message of the story isn't justified within the story, you're just telling the character there are no consequences for his actions and then shaking your head when he does it again, it's a profoundly stupid premise
there would be no narrative difference to the character just finding a bag of cash and using it to pay off the debt with zero consequence or cost, why the fuck would he then change his ways?
>>
>>7408062
I know how you feel but this doesnt work with comics. You can't avoid making bad comics, you have just make it and hope its good, and then use the criticism to improve the next comic.
>>
>>7408123
i see, raise the stakes on both ends.
>>7408148
shotgun approach. alright.
>>
>>7408016
Then get an editor, frogposter. Ah who are we kidding, you're just making up this scenario anyway.
