>>7408025I think starting with Morpho's simplified forms is a good place to start since it teaches you simplified forms which are easy to draw and understand. Then after you have the basics down you can go with more advances books. I think the guy the other anon posted is pretty good (Xiao Weichun). I enjoy his style personally and it's much more modern than other advanced anatomy books, but you can go with Bridgman, Hampton, Hogarth, etc. Really comes down to taste and what makes sense to you.

Different methods work better for different applications, I don't use a lot of lineart, so I keep it very loose, but if you struggle with visualizing forms feel free to use as many shapes as you want. There are no rules, use what you need to.

The truth is that simplified figures only *look* simple, because a lot of information has been distilled. The joints of the human body are not like the joints of a mannequin.Roberto Osti is very beginner-friendly for learning anatomy and simplification of the figure. He has several books and lots of videos, both free and paid.
