Its a conscious choice on his part to shit out these drawings as fast as possible. But it does require learning a different subset of skills in design and cartooning. Like most manga that you see from your basic Narutos or DBZ's, those artists werent carefully crafting each drawings of their characters each panel, they were trying to shit those drawings out as fast as humanly possible. But Kienan just doesnt have that skillset, he trained in another one which is fine, but to then abandon it and try to teach drawing in this new way which he is barely figuring out himself is just him shooting himself in the foot. I checked both his old and new videos for comparison and this is just sad. His old videos are fun and feel like you're being taught one on one, his sketches are a little messy but well connected and he has a very clear workflow that he explains in detail. Meanwhile, his new videos have no voiceover, just annoying dubstep music and you can clearly tell he can't even connect his own lines or do basic stuff like fill in his own sketch before applying the flat colors. This isn't just some guy who got into weed and quit art for a few years, you can tell this man has fried his brain with hard drugs and is desperately trying to scrap for easy money with his drawing course grifting.
