Anime has unlimited potential for subtle nuances of faces and it has plenty of more realistic styles. Your pic's 'style' isn't some great artistic choice to highlight something, it's ad hoc and born from a lack of skill/taste like with literally everything western these days. It's the difference between style (only skilled people have it) and peculiarity (everyone has it). Modern cartoons and faux anime only focus on being quirky and not on a coherent style that is found in anime. Fauxanime is inherently capped in terms of possibilities and freedom and anyone drawing it is lost while anime beginners are merely missing the mark of what they already know to be good.

It doesn't help that I put no special effort towards accuracy, I just eyeball things and go from there. I've tried to subvert that tendency by messing with the transform tool when my proportions are off. But I don't really like to draw the way other people tell me to, I'll just keep trying it the way I have.To the second anon, I don't really have a goal, im not even sure I want to be an artist. What i want most of all is power, the only thing that could fill the hole in my soul, which I daydream about everyday, all day long. I tried drawing various anime faces that I like but regrettably i lost all capacity to focus on the bottom half. I guess I want to achieve a mixture of lewd and also formal standard anime style, so a mix of doujinshi and some mainstream anime stuff. I drew my favorite anime villains who I want to be like and emulate, but I couldn't do them justice. You seem a little pressed though, so I suspect nothing I say or do would get you to lower the knife you're holding to my throat, so I'll leave it at that. I think I'll focus on getting anime proportions first, then the lineweight and stylistic nuance will follow in turn. I feel less like killing myself now because I see a path forward, but I might still do it down the line depending on how everything goes and if I can recover from the past
