chronic hand pain. what to do bros?>otc painkillers dont work>icyhot, cbd oil, cold/heat, elbow brace>nothing stops the numbness and then the burningi haven't drawn in weeks and i cant quit my dayjob which is probably causing the pain
just don't draw
>>7429849Exactly. OP don't draw you're just going to make the injury worse and it will take even longer to heal.
go on a low carb ketogenic diet or full carnivore
>>7429843unironically stop masturbating
>>7429843how to not end up like him?Besides pinching the stylus.
>>7429843Shoulder Reliever dot com, also get some exercise bands and do PT
>>7429843Supplement boron. Google Nothing Boring about Boron. This >>7429855Look up anti-nutrients. You might be full of oxalates.I could use a broom or do anything without pain in my elbows and my hands were in constant pain. I can do chin ups with 70lbs hanging off me now. I used to drink tea, high oxalate, but switched to coffee, basically zero oxalate. I put a pinch of borax in my coffee now (cheaper than boron sups).
>>7429843Learn to draw with your other hand. I've seen people that draw using their feet.
>>7429843You should've gotten a wrist guard. I had one and it's been serving me well by preventing my wrist from overflexing while I'm drawing.
>>7432778Carpal tunnel comes from the wrist, but the cubital tunnel comes from the elbow. However here's what I did to deal with my carpal tunnel syndrome:>saw a fucking specialist to get a diagnosis, it's important to be sure you have the actual relevant problem>learned to sleep with my wrist in proper resting position, but used a brace at first>got a vertical mouse at work, use a horizontal mouse at home, which varies my wrist positions during the day>make sure my wrist/arm is positioned properly on the desk at all times>get some hobby that helps you get regular healthy wrist movements, woodworking for me>if it gets bad you just have to get away from the problematic activity for a while to recover>working out helps keep healthy joints, which makes them more robust and less likely to have issues
>>7429843What's your day job? Or at least, what are you doing that you believe is causing the issue? I was having a lot of wrist pain recently from using a standard mouse, but I switched to a trackball (Kensington Orbit) and it's gone away completely.
>>7429849I actually agree with this, OP >>7429843 . Or at least draw very casually, very seldomly. >>7432718Good solution too. May take 1-2 years though. >>7432778This is what I did, sleeping with a splint/brace. It kinda helps. >>7432981Imo, like therapy, it's very difficult to find a competent doctor or PT who cares and will help. Anecdotally, strength training seems to help or even completely solve the problem. Other than that:- dress warm- those stretching and pain relief exercises on youtube- The Mindbody Prescription- drastic lifestyle change, including moving to a different country
https://youtu.be/mSZWSQSSEjE?si=i7VjYPcWTe6oN_YBFound this routine while checking the archives for the same reason, on day #3 of doing it and I think it works? Feels like it does at least. The post(s) I got it from specifically recommend it before you draw anything or at the start of the day.
>>7429860>master baiting with your right hand in the age of the internet
>>7429843I could tell you, but one less faggot on the market is never a bad thing.
>>7429843Numbness implyes nerve problems. Can you do squeeze excercises?.I had a similar problem when curling dumbells, strenghtening my forearms prevented my nerve from getting pinched by carpal bones and tissue
