>>7445325very hard to make it just as a streamer. no one wants to watch streamers with no viewers, no one will find your stream if they don't know who you are. there is a lot of competition these days too. you need to have an audience already. most people get a following from YouTube or other social media first before streaming.
The only popular art streamer on Twitch is Bob Ross. Everyone else gets no views and are all perpetually drawing anime emotes for people that will never get used. Stream art for fun like I did, not for views because you aint gonna get any.
>>7445350Yeah I reckon my gameplan is to basically have like a daily show or tonight show schedule where I spend the morning coming up with an episode and then shoot the intro, then shoot Timelapse and stream for a few hours while painting and ranting about whatever the topic is, then film an outro, maybe try and do an interview type of thing for a third act. And make like 20-30 minute daily videos that are more more like Eric Andre or T&E. I’m an art theory guy tbphwyf. Ideally I’d try to be getting into reaction streaming and interviews and stuff but it’s a lot easier to be a producer and have ideas than be the talent and actually execute them. Whole things probably gonna collapse when like editors don’t fall into my lap after a few weeks of this. If I get one good pilot episode out of it this month I won’t be butthurt about it

People just want a parasocial relationship. To hear their name read outloud on stream. When they come home from a long day at the office to watch an art streamer as they donate to you they just want to feel like they exist for 5 seconds. To non-artists, art skills comes third. Second would be your personality; are you entertaining enough to keep a viewers attention long enough to the end? Third is art skills...do you draw anime? No? Okay, are you a woman? No? Are you some chinese God that paints on the level of what's his face I can't remember his name...? Then good luck getting viewers.
